Farm Manager Job in Kenya

Duties and

Overall farm management and achieving agreed targets.
Implementing all Livestock policies and programs through
coordination of farm operations and timely and accurate reporting to the
head office.

Coordinating disease control and management including animal

Coordinating the farm’s breeding activities for improved milk
and calf production.

Implementing pasture and fodder establishment, management,
harvesting, and conservation plans within the target time frame.

Implementing an on-farm ration and feeding regime for
profitable and sustainable milk and calf production.

Preparing and implementing farm plans and budgets for farm
operations within the stipulated timelines.

Preparing, keeping, and sharing weekly, monthly, quarterly,
and annual farm reports.

Effective and efficient use and maintenance of farm
machinery, implements, and structures.

Mentoring, coaching, supervising, and appraising all farm

Representing KDDC in Stakeholder Workshops and Meetings in
the Area of work.

Qualification and Key

Be a Kenyan citizen.
Be a holder of at least a Diploma in Animal Production and
Health, a Diploma in Agriculture and animal health, or any other related
field from a recognized institution with two years’ experience.

A certificate in Artificial Insemination will be an added

Certificate in Computer Literacy.
Have good communication skills.
A motorcycle riding license will be an added advantage.
Be able to work under pressure with minimum supervision and
meet required deadlines

Be ready to stay on the farm
